Message I suppose i should start at the top. Last fall while running my car at the track i managed to cook a piston. I knew i would have to tear it all the way down so i decided what the heck and rebuild with forged pistons, new downpipes, some miscellaneous stuff here and there, and remove about 50lbs of junk you don't need on the engine. If you want to see pics of the rebuild go to: www.nissanofwichita.com (This will get you warmed up for what your about to see in the next link)
It took me 5 months to do it and about $4K all said and done so getting it back on the road was definitely a peace of mind. The car ran great. I mean smooth and soft as the peach fuzz on your girlfriends lower back. So 200 miles later i'm in my friends driveway and he wants to hear the exhaust work i did so i revved it to about 4K. Keep in mind i had never even taken it above 4K on the road yet. Right when i let off the gas the engine makes the most horrible sound you can ever imagine an engine making (metal to metal clank clank) and seizes solid as a rock in like a second. After probing every possible problem in our heads, i decided to rip it back out [again].
To my astonishment we were both right. One of the nuts on the crank side of the connecting rod came loose and cause the other side to completely snap off creating the biggest clusterfu*# you've ever seen. I did all the work myself (except the re-boring and crank and piston balancing w/ the rods). I was expecting mid 12's BEFORE going bigger turbos and injectors. Take a look at the rod that gave way first. Yes, it is bent about 30 degrees.
So after this slap in the dick i've decided to buy a bike since i won't have my baby to play with this summer. Anybody wanna sell me a new bottom end? My block, 2 pistons, two rods, and crank are trash now.

I tried posting pictures on here but they didn't work so go here and see the entire writeup i've already done.
